Welcome to GameGO!
A (really not) brief history and introduction to my roots in the video game industry. It all began with an RCA Studio II back in 1977 and evolved from there into a lifetime of gaming and collecting.
Highlights: I ran Video Game Depot back in the day and we were one of the largest importers of Dreamcast (Japanese) games in the United States. We also bought out TTI (Turbo Zone Direct) and had a legendary inventory of Turbografx 16 games for a number of years. I also collaborated with Eric Mylonas and other GameFan staffers to create a short-lived magazine that bears the logo of this site (and issue 2 is available here for download - see below). I took a hiatus for a time but have been back into the hobby for a number of years now. I'm a collector, I'm a reseller and, most importantly, I'm a gamer.
What to Expect
We don't sell garbage. Every game that's for sale here is inspected to meet high standards. Our shipping and packaging isn't throwing something into an envelope and hoping for the best. Even if it's a cheap game, we treat it as if we were sending it to ourselves and want it to arrive in the condition that's pictured. And, most importantly, you'll get what's pictured. We do not use stock photography. We're a "boutique" video game retailer and don't want to be like the big guys. In the rare event that we make a mistake in this process, please reach out to us and we'll make it right. We understand.
Giving Back
We want to give back to the community. So, if you have games to donate (even shovel-ware), the proceeds of that will go to a local animal shelter that we support as well as to our local (Paterson Elementary in Fleming Island) school. Indicate which you'd like your donation to go to. I know I'm old, but I have little kids, so I like to give back to the community. :) Email us at donate@gamegogames.com
